All about ALICE

I've been "into" Alice in Wonderland since Tootie was on skates!  I've read the stories over and over and over...and am over the moon about the up coming movie.  In preparation for the event I've started making some super fine Alice inspired accessories...check them out & some vintage fabric at my esty shoppe :)

My Grandmother's Mustache

Smell something stinky? Try My Grandmother's Mustache...felt mustache filled with delightful lavender...super cute!  I'm making them for upcoming craft shows.  I didn't come up with the idea of the mustache on a stick, but if you know me, you know I like to put lavender in EVERYTHING!  They make me smile :)

Made this purse from some old t-shirts, cotton fabric (cherries!), a few handmade pins and ribbon

I always like to include a key loop to clip my keys to...otherwise they are lost FOREVER.

Here's a crappy picture of the beautiful outdoors seen 8 stories up from our apartment.  Work was called off (Yea!) but hubby's flight back was cancelled (BOOOOO!).  I was super productive even though my darn cold is making my feel like poop. (Poop and Crap...all in one blog post!).

Watched this fabu documentary about a couple of normal, everyday, cat loving, humble art collectors.  One of the best docs I've seen lately and I think y'all will LOVE it!

Cartooning A-Go-Go!

Tomorrow I'm starting a class to learn about cartooning! We're using the above book as our text.
I have a few ideas for starting a series dealing with animal compassion & veganism.  Being as I don't draw *well* (see this for proof!) this should be a great learning experience. My sweetie pal Frenchie is joining me and I just know the giggles will overcome us :)
